WHO BOUGHT WHAT?  

 

Willem de Kooning’s Untitled VII (1986) sold to Per Skarstedt of Skarstedt Gallery for $5.94 million (est. $4-6 million). 

 

Andy Warhol, Double Elvis (Ferus Type) (1963) sold to Brett Gorvy of  Lévy Gorvy for $37 million (estimate was in the region of $30 million).

 

Jeff Koons’ Play-Doh (1994–2014)  sold to Koons' dealer Larry Gagosian for $22.8 million (estimate was around $20million).

 

Robert Gober's Untitled (1993–94) sold to Andrew Fabricant of Richard Gray Gallery for $7.29 million. 

 

 

 

RETURNING TO AUCTION

 

David Hockney’s Antheriums (1995) sold for $5.6 million (estimate $2.5-3.5 million). 

It last sold Christie’s New York in May 2004 for $875,500.

 

Francois-Xavier Lalanne’s The Mayersdorff Bar (1966)sold  for $4.57 million (est. $2.2-2.8 million). It last sold at Sotheby’s Paris in November 2010 for €384,750.

 

Mark Rothko’s No. 7 (Dark Over Light) (1954) sold for $30.7 million (estimate in the region of $30 million). It last sold at Christie’s New York in November 2007 for $21 million.

 

Willem de Kooning’s Untitled VII (1986) sold for $5.94 million (est. $4-6 million). It last sold at Sotheby’s New York in May 2011 for $4.28 million.

 

Nicolas de Stael’s Nu Debout (1953) sold for $12.1 million (est. $7.5-9.5 million). It last sold at Artcurial Paris 2013 for €4,690,690.

 

Warhol's Double Elvis (Ferus Type) (1963) sold for $37 million (estimate was in the region of $30 million). It last sold at Sotheby’s New York in May 2012, also for $37 million.
